Robotics

Ojai Valley School offers a competitive robotics program for high school students to design, build, and program robots for regional events. OVS are represented by two high school robotics teams in the FIRST Tech Challenge, League V, and OVS hosts the league’s competitions against a dozen area teams.
Students work with physics and math instructors to develop coding and engineering skills while working as part of these collaborative teams. The Aramont Science & Technology Center at the Upper Campus includes a spacious Makerspace in support of this popular and growing area of the curriculum. Students now enjoy an expanded classroom area dedicated to engineering, innovation, and robot design, generously funded by the Stanley and Joyce Black Family Foundation.
LEGO robotics, along with coding and other hands-on learning activities, will continue to be part of the technology curriculum at the Lower Campus.
