Biography

Mr. Inman has performed numerous roles at OVS Lower Campus during his career, including teaching biology, physics and chemistry to middle school students and serving as the boys’ soccer coach. But starting in the 2021-22 school year, he began to focus exclusively on leading the Outdoor Education program. Mr. Inman earned degrees in Environmental Studies and Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara before entering the teaching profession. He joined the OVS faculty in 1990.

Weekends often find him with a group of students exploring the beaches and mountains of Southern California. As the school’s Outdoor Education Coordinator, he leads numerous backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, surfing, kayaking, fishing, canyoneering, hiking, mountaineering, skiing and snowboarding trips throughout the year. Mr. Inman and his wife, Ann, live on a pixie tangerine ranch in Ojai. Their sons, Jay and Scott, are both OVS Lower Campus alumni.
