Biography

Ms. Shepherd joined the high school faculty in August 2024 and will be teaching AP Biology, AP Physics1, AP Physics C, and Astronomy. She will also serve as a resident counselor for boys, living in Hermes Hall. Ms. Shepherd earned her BA in Biology from the University of Toledo, Ohio and her Masters in Education from the University of St. Mary, Kansas. She has been pursuing her doctorate in educational technology with a target completion date of May 2025. For the past six years, Ms. Shepherd lived in Korea and taught science at the Seoul International School (SIS), where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2019-2020. While at SIS, Ms. Shepherd helped to develop the course curriculums for Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science and AP Environmental Science. She previously taught biology at a school in Las Vegas, NV for two years.
