Vivian Smith - Elementary Faculty

Mrs. Smith has been part of the Ojai Valley School community since 2021 and currently teaches Second Grade. At OVS, she has held positions as a Kindergarten aide and Lower Campus librarian. A lifelong learner, Mrs. Smith holds four associate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Humanities. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies from California State University Channel Islands and a PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential. Recently, Mrs. Smith completed graduate coursework toward an MS in Reading and Literacy Instruction at California State University Fullerton. Deeply committed to fostering a collaborative and nurturing academic environment, Mrs. Smith values OVS’s strong sense of community. Her son has attended OVS since PK. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys supporting her son’s soccer team, immersing herself in classic literature, and retreating to the Sierra Nevadas, where she grew up.
