Nicole Ferro - Elementary Faculty

Mrs. Ferro serves as the Director of Primary & Elementary School, overseeing the academic and co-curricular programs for grades PK-5. She also teaches First Grade. Mrs. Ferro completed her undergraduate work at San Diego State University and completed her credential at Cal State University, Channel Islands. Mrs. Ferro has spent most of her life at Ojai Valley School as either a student, summer camp instructor or teacher. She first arrived at OVS during her own primary years as both of her parents worked at the school. Her father, Gary Gartrell, served as Head of Lower Campus, and her mother, Linda Gartrell, developed the Pre-Kindergarten program. Mrs. Ferro’s sisters and brother have also worked at the school in some capacity over the years. Mrs. Ferro has two sons, Jameson and Micah, who attend Lower Campus. She enjoys hiking, riding her bike and camping at the beach. She feels so lucky to have been a student at OVS and now feels even more lucky to be a teacher and administrator at such a wonderful school.
