Director of Development Ojai Valley SchoolBiography
Amanda Edwards joined OVS in March 2026 to lead the school’s advancement efforts. Her decades of experience in nonprofit marketing and communications began with positions at the global think tank RAND in Santa Monica and a strategic consulting firm in Pasadena dedicated to cause marketing for public-private collaborations. Her career evolved into independent schools as she raised her three children and found her greatest passion stirred by the power of high-quality education. Most significantly, Amanda worked at Pasadena’s Polytechnic School in multiple communications and advancement roles for 15 years, including director of strategic communications for the school’s $90-million centennial campaign. Before moving to Ojai, she served on the leadership team at Inner-City Arts in Downtown LA for four years, helping rebuild the organization’s reach and fundraising capacity after the Covid pandemic. Throughout her career, she has also served as a volunteer in the juvenile justice system and with foster youth as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). At OVS Amanda takes joy in each opportunity to partner with colleagues, current families, alumni, and foundations to ensure the school’s long-term health through strategic planning, communications, and fundraising specifically suited to its unique identity.
