Biography

Ms. Whipple serves as the Dean of Academics at the high school and teaches AP English Literature and English 10 Honors. Her history at Ojai Valley School runs deep. She attended OVS starting in Pre-K and graduated from the Upper Campus in 2006. Her father, uncle, siblings and brother-in-law also are alums. Ms. Whipple graduated with honors from National University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and then completed her Master’s degree in English while working as the weekend coordinator at Upper Campus. She also taught in summer school. She moved into the classroom in 2017-18 to teach English 10, English 10 honors, and theater. Because she was an OVS student herself, Ms. Whipple offers a unique perspective and understanding of what students experience.
