Attention middle and high school skiers and snowboarders! OVS will once again lead its annual Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboarding Trips for Upper and Lower Campus.
Middle school students (grades 6-8): February 3-6, 2022
High School Students (grades 9-12): March 3-6, 2022
How do two days of deep snow, groomed runs, and terrain parks sound? How about warm condos, your best friends, and riding in a tour bus with movies? Relax in the game room at night and play foosball, Ping-Pong, and pool tournaments.
If you would like your student to go on this trip, please print and complete the OVS permission and acknowledgement of cost form. Click here for Lower Campus (return to Mr. Wallace), or click here for Upper Campus (return to Ms. Whipple). Deposits should be made payable to OVS. Please be aware that there are a limited amount of spaces on this trip and reservations are held upon receipt of deposit on a first come first serve basis (check, cash, or a credit balance from a student personal or sundry account). Credit cards are not accepted for this trip.
For middle schoolers: The average cost of the trip is approximately $650 for a child, and $750 for a teen. This estimate includes luxury coach transportation, three nights condo lodging, all food (including $20 cash allowance for lunch at the lodge each day), lift tickets and rentals. Exact student costs will vary depending on their individual circumstances (age, lift ticket, and gear rentals). Lessons are available at an additional cost. For safety, first time skiers and snowboarders are required to take a half-day lesson on the first day (approx. $125). Rentals and lessons will both be arranged as the trip approaches. Students will also learn about the ancient bristlecone pine forests and water wars in the Owens Valley, and will make a stop at the Manzanar Internment Camp. The exact cost for each student will be calculated after the trip. Any credit, or balance due, will be posted to your child’s sundry account.
For high school students: The average cost of the trip is approximately $685 for a young adult (13-18+) needing a lift ticket and renting gear. This estimate includes luxury coach transportation, three nights condo lodging, breakfasts and dinners at the condo, 2-day lift ticket and 2-day equipment rentals (note: it does not include a cash allowance for lunch). The cost for students with personal gear or a season lift pass (Ikon Pass) will be adjusted. Lessons are available at an additional cost. For safety, first-time skiers and snowboarders are required to take a half-day lesson on the first day (approx. $125). Student costs will vary depending on their individual circumstances and the exact cost for each student will be calculated after the trip. Any credit, or balance due, will be posted to your child’s sundry account.
We are looking forward to another great trip! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Wallace at dwallace@ovs.org, or Ms. Whipple at bwhipple@ovs.org.
