Michael J. Hall-MounseyPresident/CEO
In 2009, Michael J. Hall-Mounsey was appointed President/CEO of Ojai Valley School. Mike came to OVS with his family in 1981 and served as the Lower Campus Headmaster for 19 years. He has served in other school-wide leadership roles prior to the presidency, including the Directorships of Advancement and Summer Programs, Assistant Headmaster/Dean of Faculty, teacher, and soccer coach. Mike has a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Education Honors Degree in Administrative Education.
Prior to OVS, Mike taught math and social studies, and coached at Cams Hill High School and Christ Church with Elmfield Comprehensive High School, both in England. He served as a member of WASC/CAIS accreditation teams and the Ojai Rotary Club and is a former board member of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. Mike founded several student-focused businesses, including Meade Travel, Sports Tours International, and Britannia Soccer. In addition to his degrees, Mike has completed the Independent School Institute, Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Mike’s wife, Carol, has served as a teacher, administrator and, now, the librarian, since 1982. Their three children are alums of OVS and their granddaughter and grandson are current students.
