Elizabeth BoydScience, Music
Lisa teaches AP Biology, Biology as well as Foundations and Voice, and she leads the high school chorus at Upper Campus. Lisa was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from St. Norbert College, a liberal arts college in nearby De Pere. Musically active since she began playing guitar at the age of 12, Lisa has performed professionally as a soloist and an ensemble singer throughout her life. She continues to fill her days with music: singing for numerous events, choir directing at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Ojai, and singing and soloing with local ensembles, such as the Master Chorale of Ventura County.
Before moving to California, Lisa worked in the lab of a 500-bed hospital in Green Bay; she is an ASCP certified Medical Technologist. Lisa and her husband, John, moved to California with the intention of returning to Wisconsin in a few years, and have not been able to leave because of the beautiful Southern California weather, great friends, and work they really enjoy. Teaching at OVS has given Lisa the opportunity to blend her love of music, science, and working with young adults in a beautiful way. She and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters, Patricia and Eva.
