At OVS, technology is integrated daily into student life both inside and outside of the classroom. Most high school students, grades 9-12, bring their own laptop computers. Middle school students, grades 6-8, are provided a Chromebook for school use. On both campuses, students enjoy campus-wide wireless Internet access. Resident students can also use their own computers, cell phones or iPads in the dorms to keep in contact with friends and family via email and Skype, with some restrictions. Technology use varies by grade, but all students are expected to use these tools respectably and with integrity (see Technology Pledge 2019-20).
In addition to technology in the classroom and around campus, OVS offers a vibrant competitive robotics program for students in middle and high school. See the Robotics page for more information.
