What is Alumni Weekend?
Alumni Weekend is a multi-class reunion during the first weekend in the month of June. The main event Social and Dinner takes place on Saturday evening, with a full schedule of events planned from Friday to Sunday.
Who attends?
All former students, who attended OVS for at least two consecutive semesters, and current and former faculty and staff are invited back to campus for Alumni Weekend. Those celebrating milestone reunions are highly encouraged to attend.
Will it be at Upper or Lower?
Lower Campus will host the majority of the events this year. For the 2022 reunion, the Main Event Social and Dinner will be held at Lower Campus, and will honor President/CEO Michael Hall-Mounsey, who is retiring after 40 years of service to the school.
May I bring my family and friends?
Yes! Many family-friendly events are planned throughout the weekend. Childcare will be provided during the main event Social and Dinner on Saturday. Children are not permitted at the Social and Dinner. No infants at childcare.
Do I need to register in advance?
Registration will open online in March. Please contact Wendy Tremiti via phone at (805) 640-2578 ext. 1263 or email at alumni@ovs.org. We strongly encourage early registration so we are able to accommodate you and your guests! By registering early, you will also have priority access to the most popular activities.
What does the registration fee include?
The fee includes all meals, events and activities (excluding the Carl S. Cooper Golf Tournament), and access to the main cocktail party and dinner. There is an additional fee to stay in the dorms.
May I stay in the dorms?
Absolutely! There is a modest fee for staying in the dorms. Please be sure to bring your own towels, toiletries, pillows, and bedding/sleeping bags. If you reserve a room, you will receive a room number in early June. There will also be signage in the dorms directing you to your room. You may check into your room as early as Friday, June 10 at 4:00 p.m. Check-out is Sunday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m.
What if I can’t make the dinner, but just want to attend the soccer or baseball games?

How do I get to the Lower or Upper Campus?

What should I wear?
Casual attire is recommended for the majority of the weekend with the exception being the Saturday evening social and dinner — which is dressy-casual attire. Please also remember to bring appropriate footwear and clothing for specific activities (hiking, soccer game, golf tournament, baseball, etc.). The pool will be open on Saturday during the day.
What if I have special needs?
Please let us know about any special needs (such as dietary requirements or accessibility issues) when you register. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Can I bring my dog?
In compliance with the ADA, service dogs are welcome on campus, with the exception of the dorms. They must be leashed. Non-service dogs are not permitted on campus.
