Middle School Faculty
Biography
Myr teaches in the learning center and participates in a variety of other duties on campus.
A native Californian, Myr grew up in Ventura County. After going to college in Northern California, she lived and worked in both Oregon and Washington. When she returned to California, she worked and lived on a ranch in the foothills of the Sierras. While living in the mountains, she earned her teaching credential at CSU Bakersfield and later moved to Bakersfield to teach science and math to junior high students. In 1998, she returned to Ventura County and began her work at OVS.
When not teaching, Myr enjoys time with her family, especially camping, river rafting, and being in the outdoors. Myr and her husband, Charles, met while working as river rafting guides on the Kern River. She and Charles are the proud parents of Izabella, who is a middle school student at OVS. They own their own boat and enjoy going on family rafting trips. It brings Myr great pleasure to share her love of the outdoors and rafting with her students and family.
