The Ojai Valley School Library celebrates the scholar, the dreamer, the reader — the student who chooses to expand his or her understanding of the world around, and within, because there is so much out there to learn and explore. The library is place to begin this journey.
Situated in the center of campus in Burr Hall, the Upper Library provides students access to an ever-expanding collection of literature and periodicals. Students are provided access to online research collections and support services, and they enjoy a vibrant setting overlooking Willsie Canyon that supports the school’s goal to create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and growing in a warm family environment.
Throughout the academic day, students gravitate to the library to study and work together. They gather at large oak tables, open their laptops and enjoy wireless access in a quiet setting. Librarian Devyn Reynolds is available throughout the academic day, and by appointment, to help students with their research and assignments.
Ms. Reynolds also works with day and boarding students in understanding plagiarism, finding quality information, and citing credible sources in their work. She has taken an active role this past year in modernizing the OVS Library collections.
