SUMMER SCHOOL
Welcome to Ojai Valley School!
The founders of Ojai Valley School, established in 1911, believed that children learned best through experience and sought to establish a school that would emphasize experiential learning and a love of the outdoors. Since that time, Ojai Valley School has grown into an independent, coeducational boarding and day school serving 325 students in grades pre-kindergarten to twelve. The school is located on two campuses in the beautiful Ojai Valley. Ojai Valley School’s summer programs, which began in 1943, are an extension of the rich curriculum offered during the academic year. The Lower Camp, for primary, elementary and middle school students ages 3-14, is located on our campus near downtown Ojai. The Upper Camp, for students ages 14-18, is located on our high school campus in the east end of the Ojai Valley. In summer, the emphasis in both programs is learning through experience. Summer campers are engaged inside and outside the classroom with challenging classes and fun outdoor activities.
Students participating in all of our programs discover fabulous weather and access to both the Pacific Ocean and the Los Padres National Forest. Summer or fall, students enrolled at Ojai Valley School will discover a diverse student body and faculty members devoted to challenging their minds and nurturing their spirits.
Mark Your Calendar! Summer Camp 2009 begins June 21, 2009. Visit the Admission pages for session dates and application materials.
