OVS summer programs will be held June 24 to August 4, 2012. Nearly 300 campers, ages 3-16, will venture to Ojai Valley School this coming summer. Some will be new. Some will return for their second, third, or fourth years – drawn back by the warm humor of their favorite camp counselors and the cool shade of the oak-studded campuses. Here, they will explore the swimming holes and hiking trails of the nearby Sespe Wilderness. They will ride horses, stage plays, paint landscapes, read books, calculate math problems, kick soccer balls, and roast marshmallows. They will sharpen their academics in college-prep classes, and splash in the surf of the Pacific Ocean. They will make lifelong friendships with students from around the globe. And, under the guise of pure fun, they will learn confidence, teamwork, character, leadership, and independence. They will join a camp tradition that began in 1943, and celebrate the joys of summertime in the Ojai Valley.
