The Arts

Since the school’s founding in 1911, The Arts have held a special place at Ojai Valley School. Founder Ed Yeomans envisioned a school where students could pursue artistic expression alongside traditional studies in mathematics, science, and history. That tradition continues today with comprehensive course offerings in fine arts, photography, performing arts, and ceramics.

Ojai has long been known as a haven for artists and musicians, and our students participate in art exhibits and learn from visiting artists in the community. Students interested in art have many opportunities for self-expression. They showcase their talents in musical performances and dramatic productions in our beautiful outdoor amphitheater, and their work is displayed on campus throughout the year.
