It is the people that make the place. And it was the intimate community of the students and faculty that made my years at OVS unforgettable.

Ojai Valley School offers students in grades 3-12 the ability to live and learn alongside peers from around the world. Resident students participate in a vibrant community of motivated students and develop friendships that last a lifetime. Just ask our alumni. Many of their closest friendships began in the OVS dorms or were developed on camping trips and other shared experiences.
All OVS residents live on campus in school dormitories and are supervised by dorm parents. Students typically share a dorm room with one other student and spend time in common areas with peers for studying, meals, and recreational time. Boys and girls live in separate dorms. The Lower Campus, located near downtown Ojai, houses resident students in grades 3-8. The Upper Campus, located seven miles to the east on a stunning 195-acre hilltop campus, accommodates resident students in grades 9-12.
On each campus, OVS provides a safe and nurturing environment and strives to teach resident students independence, collaboration, and integrity. Students enjoy time hanging out with friends. They eagerly join forces for community service projects, like the Relay for Life, and support each other during sports games and camping trips. Throughout the year, student life is punctuated with special events and activities, including the Festival of Talent, themed dress days, and countless weekend excursions. We expect our students to work hard, but we also enjoy a relaxed school setting where students can have fun together and be themselves.
